Top Model Cara

2019-03-04T17:04:19-05:00Monday, March 4, 2019|

Cara Delevingne was always destined to be more than a model. And since she was launched in 2011 by Christopher Bailey at Burberry, Delevingne's personality and talent has been rather irrepressible. She's covered countless magazines, become an outspoken voice for the LGBTQ+ community, and an expert troll of the paparazzi and internet who like to make a little too much of any woman she hangs out with. Not to mention, she has made one of the more successful model-to-movie star transitions in recent memory, from her magnetic performance in Paper Towns to blockbuster fame in Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets and Suicide Squad. But let's not forget that she was—still is—a unique and remarkable model, as we were all reminded by her recent, triumphant return to the runway for Bailey's final Burberry show this year. And she has always been one of W's favorite models. And we've gone everywhere together—on the streets of London, to the shores of Sicily, channeling nouveau grunge for Mert and Marcus. Here, find a look inside the pages of W at the many times she's been photographed for the magazine.

My friend, Neil Simon

2018-09-04T07:43:04-04:00Tuesday, September 4, 2018|

Back in 1985, I was doing the Broadway Show, The Marriage of Figaro co-starring Christopher Reeve.  I had a chance to hang with a lot of the young stars working in New York City and among them was Matthew Broderick.  One night I was visiting the cast of Biloxi Blues and by chance the playwright Neil Simon, was walking out of the backstage door as I was walking in -- it was a true Hollywood meet cute -- we looked at each other smiled, I must have giggled and he invited me for an after show drink at Joe Allen's.  We talked for the next 6 months -- it was an amazing time - except for the 30 year age difference -- it might have turned out differently!  He was a prince, so funny and he will be missed!  Matthew Broderick played Eugene Jerome and in the cast were so many up and comers like Penelope Ann Miller, Matt Mulheron, Alan Ruck (Ferris Bueller's Day Off), Bill Sadler and Brian Tarantina    This is a clip from the LA TIMES: Neil Simon, whose comic touch in “The Odd Couple,” “Barefoot in the Park” and many other hits on stage and [...]

Me and Bruce Jenner

2017-08-12T15:51:50-04:00Sunday, December 27, 2015|Tags: , , , |

In a place far away in a much simpler time - I had a chance to meet an American Hero, Olympic Decathlon Gold Medalist and superstar athlete.  His name was Bruce Jenner.  In light of all that's happening the WAS in very appropriate because apparently he is gone.  I am a bit sad about that.  Does that mean he died?  I support the new Caitlyn Jenner as she seems happy and fulfilling a lifelong dream to complete her/his identity.  My heart hurts though, it must have been a life full of serious inner turmoil and conflict and I just happy now it seems to be a positive path.  But where did Bruce go? I just came across my some old photos and wanted to share them.  Whenever a human reaches extraordinary heights and serves as an inspiration they should be honored... and in my own little way here's to Bruce!

Have you seen or read The Secret and its Law of Attraction? Well I have been a believer forever and imaged how impacted I was when one of the stars of the movie, Dr. Bob Proctor not only became a fan of mine - but SpinGym as well.  As he tells in his video we met at a dinner, the night before we were both speaking at a Charity event put on by the Cynthia Kersey Foundation.  What I didn't realize until he sent me this video was that he had had a heart attack and how profoundly my fitness product affected him, his recovery and his on going health. When he says that SpinGym works like unadulterated magic and that everyone should be using one - I was on Cloud 9 - perhaps I still am -- so happy to share his energy, his passion and words of wisdom.     www.SpinGym.com
