Park City, Utah – New Years 2016

2017-08-12T15:51:49-04:00Saturday, January 30, 2016|

Had a GREAT Ski Trip with my twins - stayed at the Canyons Park City Fun on the slopes -- its cold in January, crisp and alive - we had so much fun!  Makenna focused on learning to snowboard, Ryker skied and I babies a bum knee! BEST SKI WORKOUT - WATCH THIS New Year's Eve 2016 SNOW WARS BEGIN!! The CRATER! One of the unique activities at our Midway Utah Resort is our one-of-a-kind Homestead Crater. The Crater is a geothermal spring, hidden within a 55-foot tall, beehive-shaped limestone rock located on the Homestead property. Over 10,000 years in the making, The Crater formed when melting snow on the Wasatch Mountains seeped deep within the earth. Two miles below the surface, the earth’s interior heated the water. As it percolated upward, it picked up minerals, which were then deposited on the surface — eventually forming the volcano-shaped limestone deposit called The Homestead [...]

I did not write this blog but it needs to be shared... Warren Buffett Says to Invest as Much as You Can in This Warren Buffett is considered to be one of the greatest investors that has ever lived and is consistently ranked among the wealthiest people in the world with a net-worth north of $72 billion. He is well known for his commitment to value investing, and when he gives recommendations, people listen. The other day I came across a quote from him where he was advising people to invest as much as possible in something that everyone has access to, something , he says, in which we can never invest too much. What is this amazing asset he's so bullish on? It's you. You will never get a better return on life than when you truly invest in yourself. Here are some ways to help you make the most of your investment. Stay healthy on all three planes: mind, body, spirit. It all starts here. You need to be firing on all cylinders, or else you won't be able to get the most of out your life. This doesn't have to be difficult or time consuming. Just be mindful about improving [...]

New Years Resolutions 2016

2017-08-12T15:51:49-04:00Sunday, January 3, 2016|Tags: , , , |

Its new year 2016! New Year, healthier you New Year’s resolutions are a bit like babies: They’re fun to make but extremely difficult to maintain. Each January, roughly one in three Americans resolve to better themselves in some way but sadly a much smaller percentage of people actually make good on those resolutions. It's hard to keep up the enthusiasm months after you've swept up the confetti, but it's not impossible. This year, pick one of the following worthy resolutions, and stick with it. Here’s to your health! Lose weight The fact that this is perennially among the most popular resolutions suggests just how difficult it is to commit to. But you can succeed if you don’t expect overnight success.  A highly recommend starting a journal - for you food and your mental health - my favorite www.myeatjournal.com Quit smoking I watched both my parents die from smoking and it is mind bending to me that even though it clearly says on the package that smoking WILL cause cancer... we can't seem to fight the addiction.  My personal recommendation after you've tried will power and patches - is hypnosis -- I will have a new CD out and if you'd like more info [...]

The Power of Juicing

2017-08-12T15:51:49-04:00Friday, January 1, 2016|

There are many health benefits of drinking freshly juiced fruits and vegetables. To start it’s a dynamic way to add fresh nutrients that you normally wouldn’t eat because so many of use are eating processed foods and have less than ideal diets. Freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices retain most of the vitamins, minerals and plant chemicals (phytonutrients) that would be found in the whole versions of those foods. These nutrients can help protect against cardiovascular disease, cancer and various inflammatory diseases, like rheumatoid arthritis. My dear friend and fitness legend Jack Lalanne would always say cooking kills. What he was that cooking is a chemical process and understandably, it changes the molecular structure of the food, making it foreign to the body. If you don’t think this is likely, stick your hand in a pot of boiling water. When you pull it out, how does it look? Is it in better or worse condition? Cooking destroys the enzymes in food, but what are enzymes and why should you care? Enzymes are life. They are on an equal level with vitamins, minerals, fats, carbohydrates, proteins, and water. Without the presence of enzymes in food, the body is forced to rob [...]
