Have you heard about Waist Shapers?

2017-08-12T15:51:51-04:00Wednesday, September 23, 2015|

The latest craze for women to have a more hour glass figure is waist trainer - have you heard about this?  In the old days women wore corsets and we remember that famous seen from Gone with the Wind (video below)  Well here I am in Bogota, Columbia about to shoot a new infomercial and the owner of the company created a shapewear company called Zlimmy - her and her team tugged me into my first Waist Shaper - I certainly looked all pulled in - but breathing is optional!! WHAT IS WAIST SHAPING Waist training is a gradual process of waist reduction using latex, corsets, or even neoprene wrap around your middle to decrease the measurement. This practice came to prominence during The Victorian times. According to recent studies the more you wear your cinchers/corsets the more effective it will be. Waist reduction and reshaping requires consistency. The best results are achieved with combining the use of this product with a healthy diet plan, drinking 10 glasses of water daily, ensuring you get your 5-a-day small meals and trying to cut out fast food, sugar and unhealthy snacks. Supposedly it best to wear waist trainers if… This goal for any shape [...]

Self Love

2017-08-12T15:51:51-04:00Wednesday, September 16, 2015|

Fall in love with yourself first, determine your own happiness, your own standards on living your life, because you are the gardener of your own soul. And if you’re having a bad day, take a look in the mirror and tell yourself - I love ‘me’ and today I will shine, because I am awesome and I deserve the best.

Our Thoughts

2017-08-12T15:51:51-04:00Friday, September 11, 2015|

Our life is what our thoughts make it and the blatant truth is that stress doesn't come from external sources like i.e. your work, colleagues, boss, your family or friends, traffic jams, health challenges, or any other circumstances, it simply comes from you, from within, your thoughts about these circumstances.  It is your reaction to these circumstances that can have a negative impact on you, so having a positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events and outcomes and can have extraordinary results, whereas having a negative attitude will create the opposite..My advise, change your thoughts, nurture your mind, say no to all the drama, just stay calm and you will change your world.

Live Your Own Life

2017-08-12T15:51:51-04:00Wednesday, September 9, 2015|

Always carve out your own path, it is your journey, and yours alone. The universe has no restrictions, it is vast and limitless just like you. You place restrictions on the universe with your own expectations - so let go of any expectations and go with your passions, do what makes your heart sing, what makes you happy and stand firm for what you believe in. By doing so and by having faith and that believe in yourself, you may be pleasantly surprised of what you're capable of....

It’s Not Selfish To Love Yourself

2018-09-30T00:06:04-04:00Monday, September 7, 2015|

If you want happiness then understand that it starts with you - not with your relationships, not with your job, not with your money but you. Your internal state, your thoughts affect your external state. Life really is like a boomerang, what you put out, is exactly what will return to you, so if you're unhappy, don't like your own company, feel guilty or hate yourself on the inside, then your outside life is always going to reflect that. To change the world around you, you must first change the world inside yourself. Face your fears, your demons, take responsibility for your own feelings, your own actions and especially your own mistakes. Learn the lessons and make the changes to avoid being a donkey. Life is like a school, we learn to walk, we fall, bruise ourselves, but don't just sit there, get up and keep moving forward - keep your thoughts positive and be blessed you have been given another day, for in each waking day, you will find scores of blessings and opportunities. Take advantage of every second. Use your mind to create new ideas, to wipe out debt, heal relationships, and transform obstacles into opportunities. [...]

Metabolic Boosting Foods!

2017-08-12T15:51:51-04:00Monday, September 7, 2015|

Body Builders will tell you that a strong, lean body is MADE in the kitchen, not the gym. Well here’s an exciting bonus - certain food CAN boost your metabolism and help you burn fat just by EATING THEM! What Is Metabolism? Metabolism is the amount of energy or calories needed by your body to maintain itself throughout the day. Everyone's metabolism is different and affected by your body’s composition -people with more muscles will have a higher metabolism, while those that are less muscular have a lower metabolism. Old adage to get you motivated to go to the gym (or SpinGym regularly) muscle burns fat for fuel! A person with a higher metabolism (due to working out and greater muscle mass) will be able to eat more calories daily than another person with the same weight and height that does not workout or have the same amount of muscle mass. Great news for those of us who LOVE to eat. The foods listed below can literally scorch calories as you chew - they are ones with very high thermogenic properties. SO! Feed your metabolism with these… Hot peppers Capsaicin, the compound that gives chili peppers their kick, heats up [...]

This sign represents SO many things - think about the amazing memories you have from travel - I personally have toured Europe on my own with a backpack when I was just 21, taken my twins to experience China, cruised through Alaska, trekked around Africa, scuba dived off the coast of Turks & Caicos and on and on.  In truth, the only trips I regret are the ones I didn't take!  How often does time and money and responsibilities get in the way of you enjoying a vacation?  I cherish my experiences and will share so many of them along with a private collection of photos - so we can BOTH experience the adventures :) On a side note - if money is a barrier to you enjoying travel - I am part of the world LARGEST travel club that gets amazing savings on trips including $69 cruises, a week in an all inclusive resort in Mexico for under $300 and SO much more visit my site http://ForbesRiley.worldventures.biz

Africa

2017-08-12T15:51:52-04:00Saturday, September 5, 2015|

One of the most adventures I ever went on was a 6 week trip to Africa.  I have dear friends who live in Lake Navaisha and thought it would be a great Christmas/New Years (1998-1999) trip.  I was MORE than right.  I will never forget. Some highlights include getting to pet Cheetahs - note to self - these was NOT a scheduled tour nor were they tamed.  I have a friend Junie Zwager who owns a game reserve and I am profoundly lucky that I didn't get hurt that day.  I was just mesmerized by the giant and gently cats and took a chance.  I DO NOT recommend it. :)

Get our of your comfort zone

Once you get rid of the idea that you must please other people in order to feel accepted before you please yourself, and begin to follow your own instincts, only then can you be successful. You'll feel more fulfilled and at peace within and other people tend to be satisfied by what you do. Understand that at times you have to leave the city of your own comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition.   Follow your gut, because when you do, what you'll discover will be amazing - what you'll discover is actually yourself. Remember, there are no mistakes, only lessons. Love yourself, trust your choices, and everything is possible.
